This amazing cottage is conveniently located to several attractions including Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest for hiking in a virgin timber forest with huge trees over 500 years old and Fontana Dam, the highest concrete dam in the Eastern United States, The famous Appalachian Trail bisects the county and traveling northbound, crosses the top of Fontana Dam as it enters into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. For the sports car and motorcycle enthusiasts, Lakefront Cottage on Lake Santeetlah is just minutes away to the internationally known “Tail of the Dragon” with 318 curves within 11 miles!!! We’re just a short drive for whitewater adventures on the Nantahala River for rafting and kayaking. For scenic drives, photo opts or hiking trails, the Cherohala Skyway is nearby taking you to elevations over a mile high.
