Since 1930, countless visitors have created lifelong memories at Historic Tapoco Lodge. Situated on 120 acres in the lush mountain region of the Nantahala National Forest on the banks of the cascading Cheoah River, Tapoco is well known for its adventures like hiking, rafting, kayaking, fishing and mountain biking, and is also well known for moments of sanctuary with riverside dining, evening fire pits, and beautiful places to rest. Our proximity to the world-famous Dragon, an 11-mile winding road, makes us a favorite destination for motorcyclists and sports car enthusiasts or those looking for a weekend getaway.
