The Chestnut Lodge:
Sits on a 1.5-mile stream with a large private yard and views of its very own waterfall. Ideal for a large family, corporate retreat, or gathering of friends!

With a three-story layout, the home comfortably sleeps 9 with the addition of a new In-Law’s Quarters called “The Wood Shed” which sleeps an additional 4. The main level features a gourmet kitchen, over-sized great room with a fireplace, and the master bed (queen) and bath with an internal bed loft (twin). The upstairs is home to a multi-story loft with a queen-sized bed and a secondary room with a set of bunk beds (twins). Lastly, the lower level includes a secluded king room, laundry facilities, and pool room. The master bedroom, main-floor great room, upstairs loft, and downstairs gathering area have their own porch/balcony area.

“The Wood Shed” is home to two additional bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen bed, full bathroom, and exterior access to the main home. The upper most bedroom also has an extra fun feature – a secluded, outdoor shower! Listen to the creek and the birds chirp while showering outside amidst nature. The Wood Shed also has a third bathroom on the main floor for guest use when enjoying time around the fire pit.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the over-sized porches or stay curled up in bed. Whether it’s the rustic setting or modern conveniences you’re in search of, this home has it all.

Take advantage of the 1.5 miles of private stream with an abundance of waterfalls and hand hewed bridges. Be sure to bring a fly rod and your favorite fishing gear to see what you can catch.

If it’s a hike you’re looking for, enjoy the property’s five miles of private hiking trails with ample room for camping opportunities. Pack a lunch or a full pack for an overnight stay. Either way, be sure to bring along your camera to snap a shot of the abundant wildlife, waterfalls, streams, and various mountain views.

The region, located in the Appalachian biosphere, is home to the world’s densest population of salamanders. Be sure not to touch them though, this protected species is known for the unique characteristic of breathing through its skin.
